一 | ◆米大リーグオープン戦 パドレス―ドジャース（２２日、米アリゾナ州ピオリア＝ピオリアスタジアム） 【写真】真美子さんにメロメロ…大谷翔平のとろけた笑顔に反響！ ドジャース・大谷翔平投手（３１）が２２日（日本時間２３日午前５時１０分開始予定）、オープン戦の敵地・パドレス戦のスタメンを外れた。 (ECNS) -- The 17th Beijing Olympic City Sports Culture Festival opened on Friday at the Beijing Olympic Museum, featuring more than 20 activities centered on the city’s Olympic culture. Beijing made history as the first city in the world to host both the Summer and Winter Olympic Games, with the 2008 Beijing Olympics and Paralympics and the 2022 Beijing Winter Olympics and Paralympics. Launched in 2010, the annual festival aims to preserve Olympic legacies and promote the Olympic spirit through community sports, youth education, exhibitions and exchanges among Olympic cities. This year’s program includes emerging international sports, the Beijing Zhangjiakou sports culture and tourism area, and the Beijing International Sports Film Week. The Olympic City Summer Plaza will feature Winter Olympic exhibits and an Italy-themed program showcasing the culture of the host country of the upcoming Milan-Cortina Winter Olympics. 。前日２１日（同２２日）の初戦はスタメン出場していたが、２試合目でスタメンを外れることとなった。欠場することが確実だ。 大谷はチームのオープン戦初戦だった２１日（同２２日）の敵地・エンゼルス戦に「１番・指名打者」でスタメン出場。
二 | 初回先頭の１打席目に三塁へ内野安打を放ち、オープン戦初出場の試合では２１年から６年連続安打となった。その後２打席は凡退して３打数１安打だったが、ロバーツ監督も「翔平はよかった」とニンマリだった。 この日、大谷はキャンプ地に残ってライブＢＰ（実戦形式の練習）で登板予定。
三 | ３月のワールド・ベースボール・クラシック（ＷＢＣ）では投手の登板はせず、打者に専念する見込みだが、大会後のレギュラーシーズンでは開幕から投打の二刀流でフル回転することが期待されるとあって、投手調整も進めている。 オープン戦初戦は、エンゼルスに１５―２と大勝したドジャース。
四 | この日はカブスから４年２億４０００万ドル（約３８０億円＝契約時のレート）で獲得した外野手のタッカーがスタメン入りし、ドジャースでのオープン戦デビューを果たす。 大谷は２月中に米国を離れて帰国。侍ジャパンの合流後は強化試合の３月２日オリックス戦、３日阪神戦（京セラドーム）に出場し、６日の台湾戦（東京ドーム）からスタートするＷＢＣの１次ラウンドに向かうことになる。
